Radija Praia37

Manaus, AM, Brazil

Hello! My name is Radija Praia. I'm from Manaus. I have a bachelor's degree in Business and I'm currently studying Computer Engineering and Degree in Mathematics. I'm a student at Apple Developer Academy in the Instituto de Pesquisas Eldorado Manaus as iOS developer. I am a lover of the technology universe because I see through it a door to transform things in the world. I'm immersed in the world of development and I'm loving it. Developing is not just knowing about languages, it is creating solutions through them. Solutions that make a difference and bring about transformations. Among the collections of the passions of my life are my family, the seventh art, reading, writing, and music - arts that save us. And beyond, a latent one: to retain and transmit knowledge, because freedom starts from it. Transformation, self-knowledge, and empathy start from knowledge.

Scholarships

Radija has been awarded a WWDC scholarship two times. Here are the submissions that got her there.

In 2020, applicants were tasked with building an interactive playground to showcase their creativity and technical abilities. Here’s how Radija describes her winning submission.

My project was “Amazonês”. It teaches some regional linguistic variants from Amazonas (common dialects such as “só de bubuia” which means “relaxing” etc.) and explains the meaning of each one through a memory game. Its essence is to talk about the diversity that exists in the world, elucidating that the difference is not ugly or beautiful, right or wrong, it’s just different. The project teaches a bit of the Amazon culture in a fun way.
