Hey! I’m Vedant, and I’m passionate about developing apps! I started coding at age 7 and I love playing with new technology. I enjoy making videos, building robots, and taking on challenges. I also have interest in Cyber Security and helping others develop computer and programming skills!
Vedant has been awarded a WWDC scholarship three times. Here are the submissions that got him there.
In 2022, applicants were tasked with creating a Swift Playgrounds app project on the topic of your choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Vedant describes his winning submission.
My submission is based around a story that puts the user on task to save WWDC! Turns out, Craig forgot to update his iPad to iPadOS 16, and he is about to present. Craig reaches out to the user for help. Within the app, there are 3 mini-apps, DeviceRestore, iPadOS 16 preview, and WWDC 2022. The app uses SwiftUI, UIKit, ARKit, PencilKit, and QuickLook. SwiftUI/UIKit powers the main interfaces throughout the app, and ARKit/PencilKit powers the iPadOS 16 preview and the WWDC 2022 mini-apps.
