In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Vedant describes his winning submission.
My submission is an interactive story powered by hand tracking! The user is tasked with compiling the latest update before WWDC 2024 in an interface inspired by visionOS. The user is able to navigate the entire experience all through hand tracking. A pinch of the index finger and thumb selects items. This app is powered by SwiftUI, PencilKit, and Vision.
