In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Christian describes his winning submission.
LoopBand is an app designed for music enthusiasts, allowing users to record themselves playing, singing, or dancing a segment of a song and then creating a digital representation of the user that continues to play their performance. This allows the user to record multiple segments and create their own "loop band." The app uses technologies such as AVFoundation, AVKit, Vision, and CoreML for camera input, loop display, person segmentation, and hand gesture interaction.
