Philip Park17

Irvine, CA, United States

Hello! My name is Philip and I'm an indie developer based in Irvine California. I've been programming for over seven years and have been making (circuitry, PCBs, signal processing pipelines) for over three. In my free time I love watching film, reading, and playing with new software, recently focusing on computational neurobiology and signal processing systems.

Scholarships

Philip has been awarded a WWDC scholarship in 2024. Here is the submission that got him there.

In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Philip describes his winning submission.

My app pairs with a NeuroSky headset via Bluetooth to capture near real-time brainwave activity, helping students understand their cognitive processes and learning preferences. By analyzing brainwave data, it recommends personalized study resources and strategies, optimizing their educational journey. I built this project using bluetooth peripherals in Swift Playgrounds, which allowed seamless integration with the NeuroSky headset and other tools.
