In 2024, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. New for 2024, 50 Distinguished Winners were recognized for their outstanding submissions and invited to Apple in Cupertino. Here’s how Marina describes her winning submission.
Iris tells the story of a young girl with a vision disability. The game offers a story-driven experience, complete with interactive mini-games and informative pop-ups highlighting assistive technologies for visually impaired individuals. With vibrant illustrations that evolve as Iris grows, the game promotes inclusivity, emphasizing accessibility through optimized design features focusing on accessibility.
