Hi! My name is Leonardo Mota. I'm currently studying Software Engineering, and I'm an alumni at the Apple Developer Academy - UCB. I'm a technology enthusiast, a nerd, a lover of Rubik's Cubes, and a pianist in my spare time.
Leonardo has been awarded a WWDC scholarship two times. Here are the submissions that got him there.
In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Leonardo describes his winning submission.
Don’t Touch It is an immersive experience that blends the real and digital worlds through touchless interactions. Using head tracking and hand gestures, users experience how current technologies enable new forms of interaction, with a cube symbolizing how we stay present in the real world while immersed in the virtual. The main goal of my scene is to create an immersive experience that allows the user to interact with the digital environment in an innovative and, most importantly, natural way.
