In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Nahom describes their winning submission.
AccessEd is an offline iOS app that offers machine learning powered course recommendations, intelligent study card creation from handwritten or printed text, and a task management calendar. Built with SwiftUI, Swift Data, CreateML, Natural Language, Vision, and AVSpeechSynthesizer, it empowers students, especially those in underserved communities to study efficiently, stay organized, and access personalized learning without needing internet.
