But recently, I started a job in the education sector. It’s been both challenging and exciting as I navigate this unfamiliar space. In 2025, applicants were tasked with creating an interactive app playground on the topic of their choice to showcase their passion for coding. Here’s how Jihaan describes her winning submission.
I designed this app to encourage my mom to walk regularly as part of her recovery. After experiencing leg muscle loss, walking became a painful activity, which gradually weakened her motivation to exercise. However, her dream of performing Umrah kept her spirit alive, as the journey requires long periods of walking. Inspired by this, I created an app that connects her daily walks to a visualization of Umrah, particularly Tawaf, making each step feel like real preparation for achieving her goal.
